OUR NEWEST MEMBER OF THE FAMILY
I should have explained earlier that it's been a rough week for us here at the Grilliams Estate. The entire household has been sick, and our world has been moving a bit more slowly (and sleeplessly) than usual. Things are better now after consuming about 5 quarts of matzo ball soup... we left the house today feeling fairly comfortable that we weren't infecting everyone we met. In any case, the low point inspired me to buy Fiona a Waldorf Doll, a handmade creation from Germany that costs more than anyone should ever pay for a doll. I introduced her to the doll yesterday; the first photo is her immediate reaction. She then proceeded to read the doll a story, and then insisted upon taking off her clothes. She loves the naked. (Incidentally, while I didn't make the doll I did make the dress Fiona is wearing in these photos.:-)

What shall we name her?
I'm hopping this is a swag doll, because she ain't pretty. And if she costs more than any doll should...must be a German thing. I'd call her Helga.
actually, i'm working on swagging some now, but this one is worth every over-priced penny we paid for her.
My favorite German name is Gisela. I think she would be happy to have Fiona's new dolly named after her. By the way what is a swag doll?
swag (stuff we all get) is the stuff Heather gets for free...which is usually really great, cute stuff. But this doll isn't swag.
