FIONA'S FIRST WORD
(sort of)
In this photo Fiona is saying, "MAMA." To my delight this is a word she uses with frequency, and will repeat upon demand the majority of the time. Now, to clarify, she doesn't always use it to refer to me. Sometimes she seems to be referring to milky, sometimes she is saying, "My name is Fiona, what is yours?" and sometimes she is showing off, "I know how to make this sound called 'mama' that seems to make my mother very happy. Aren't you impressed?"

I think she knows your MaMa and is pleased with herself and with you! We will just say it's her first word, because wouldn't it be her first word anyway. I don't remember when Patty called me that. I know when she was 5 yrs old she called me "mother". One day she came home from visiting her friend. They had been allowed to cross the street to see a lilly on the other side. The other mom was there, but Patty decided to run back and take another look. After she looked, she ran into the street and a car stopped for her-scolded her for not looking. She came in to the house, saying, "Mother, I almost got hit by car!" As usual when something happened to Patty,I cried! I should ask her if she remembers. I didn't cry today tho when she called and told me she had sprained her ankle--at least she hopes it is only sprained. But you just never stop wanting to protect your children! Actually any children! Cause they are so vunerable! Sorry about the long message!
